What inspired you to write ‘I Won’t Say I Love You’

“I Won’t Say I Love You” is a 60’s period piece written for a once-in-a-lifetime friend, a gifted musician, who has taught me about many things, including the music of the era that shaped our lives.
Who is behind the music?
Judy Carr is an educational consultant who works with school districts throughout the United States. “I Won’t Say I Love You” is her first song.
Lyrics: I won’t say, “I love you,” As so many lovers do. ‘Cause how’d you know I mean it? That my words of love are true? Love’s not a simple statement. It’s my way to be with you. Love’s the peace in our connection, It’s the bond that sees us through. Love’s my eyes on yours when list’ning It’s my hands’ soft, healing touch Love’s my lips on yours when kissing Savoring the gift of you….so much. I won’t say, “I love you,” As so many lovers do, ‘Cause how’d you know I mean it? That my words of love are true? Love’s my focus on what matters It’s the nuances we share Love’s all the times I think of you When you’re not even there. I’m a better me when with you As you’re you when you’re with me I choose you but don’t need you In this moment our love’s free. I won’t say, “I love you,” As so many lovers do, ‘Cause how’d you know I mean it? That my words of love are true? No words can prove “I love you,” So my actions clearly say I hold you in my mind and heart In a deep and loving way. Yes, I hold you in my mind and heart In a deep and loving way. But I won’t say….. No, I won’t say…. Won’t say…. I love you. Love you. (ad lib….) Love you. Love you.
