My love for the spirit of Christmas was the inspiration for the song. I was always the one during family gathering to give Christmas concerts acapella, and never really cared if anyone joined in because I loved to sing and get everyone In the mood. So It sort of became a tradition for my family. Well over the past several years I thought about how cool it would be to write a jazzy like signature Christmas song, one that people would want to sing time and time again during the Christmas holiday.

What is the story behind your lyrics?

While I know and understand the true meaning of Christmas, I don’t think I ever stopped believing in the spirit of Santa Claus. Those two words just make me feel warm and fuzzy all over, and I think the thought of Santa Claus brings out the kid in all of us.  As adults, we often think that Christmas is strictly for children, but that’s not true. I have fond memories of Christmas as a child so I had the notion that as adults, we can be just as anxious and excited by the arrival of Santa Claus as kids. The catchy tune came to me first and I couldn’t get it out of my head. When I began writing this song, I had a visions of waiting for Santa on Christmas Day with lots of decorations, egg nog in hand, and hopes that I would be one of his many stops along the way.

How long have you been writing music?

I have been singing and writing music for nearly 25 years. I have a collection of songs I have written in my unpublished collection because I don’t play an instrument and it’s very hard to find a service to arrange music for my lyrics, until now.

Tell us about you musical journey?

I am just a person who loves all types of music and bringing music to life. I believe music is the universal language of the world and I am happy to be able to share my love of music with others.

Lyrics:

Verse 1
Mr. Santa, it’s a quarter to three.
I’m still sittin’ round trimming my tree.
Mr. Santa, don’t you forget about me.

Verse 2
Mr. Santa, I’ve done my best to be good.
I’ve done some things I shouldn’t and some I should.
Mr. Santa, don’t you forget about me.

Chorus
Sleigh bells are ringing and kids full of glee.
And lots of presents under my tree.
I’m thinking ‘bout the Christmas lights all aglow.
And how you gonna make it through the wintery snow.

Mr. Santa, bring me some toys.
And don’t forget about the good girls and boys.
Mr. Santa, don’t you forget about me.

Verse 3
Mr. Santa, have I been naughty or nice.
Have some eggnog with a little touch of spice.

Chorus
Sleigh bells are ringing and kids full of glee
And lots of presents under my tree.
I’m thinking ‘bout the Christmas lights all aglow
And how you gonna make it through the wintery snow

Mr. Santa, bring me some toys.
And don’t forget about the good girls and boys.
Mr. Santa, don’t you forget about me.
Don’t you forget about me.
Don’t you forget about me.
